Things Before Going To Architect : Unirchitect, Make A Checklist.

We will need a few confirmations/inputs from you before designing a hose plan for your site. If you supply these details, we will be able to create a plan that meets your current and future requirements. So, before consulting us, make sure you have all of the following material on hand so you can have more productive discussions with us. We both will save time.

The following is a list of things to consider before consulting us

Basic information and the construction's goal

You must have the site's orientation, borders, and dimensions. You must explain to us the aim of the construction, whether it is for personal use, personal plus tenancy, or commercial use.

Number of Floors:

You must specify how many floors you intend to build. This also applies to your future construction plans. Based on this we will plan Pillar sizes and depth of the foundation, in general, plan for structural strength.

Car Parking

We will leave space for the parking area based on the number of vehicles and bikes you have now. If you're building residences for rent, and you're going to give parking for their cars or bikes, you'll need to leave the parking space suitably. Don't forget to let me know if you have any extra huge vehicles.

Number of Dwellings

The capacity of the sump will vary depending on the number of houses you plan to build. We will calculate the tank capacity based on the number of dwellings.

Self-Occupation

The amount of space required for your self-occupation. This is something you can select based on the size of your family and your budget. You can next decide whether you want a single bedroom house, a double bedroom house, a duplex house, or a triplex house.

If you're building a large house on one floor and smaller houses on another, We will need to adapt the pillar structure correspondingly. For example, on a 50X40 site, the entire first floor could be designated as a double bedroom (self-contained) and the second floor could be designated as two single bedrooms.

Puja room

You can decide how large a Puja room you and your family require.

Balcony

If you are interested in the sit-out area/balcony, please let us know.

Other things to think about are

  1. Is there a need for more dining space?

  2. Extra bathrooms, whether they are required or not, and their sizes

  3. Areas of Use

  4. Whether or not a lift is required.

  5. Is there a requirement for storage space?

  6. Do you want to go to the basement or not?

  7. If your building is larger, you'll need to make room for a transformer.

  8. Water collection from the rain.

  9. Whether you choose to build using bricks or solid blocks, the pillar sizes will differ.

  10. Which window material do you prefer: wood, aluminum, or CPVC?

  • Provide us with the dimensions of the site, or we will come and measure the empty site.
  • If a bore well has already been drilled, you must provide the specific location of the bore well. So that the bore point does not collide with the plinth beam or any pillar.
  • If you want your dwellings to be Vastu compliant, you must inform us.
  • If you want to have a watchmen room, you must inform us. If you want to store the gas cylinders on the ground floor, you must ask to offer the space.
  • If you are an animal enthusiast, you should set aside a space for your pets.
